Devoured this in two sittings. Wonderful evocation of a small village community and a hugely atmospheric mystery with a creeping sense of dread which builds to a satisfying, surprising conclusion. Not to be missed
Had me gripped from the start. Packed with atmosphere and an eerie claustrophobia, this story set in a small rural community is full of tension and a ratcheting sense of peril. I was fully invested in the story, and could picture every detail of Raven Cottage so perfectly I could have been there. Loved this!
A sublime new standalone from a gifted writer. Scary and thrilling in equal nature, I was obsessed with finishing this book. A must read
Authentic, original, hauntingly atmospheric, and in parts just plain terrifying, There Came A-Tapping will keep you up all night! A brilliantly woven thriller, I couldn't put it down
An atmospheric, creepy, tense thriller - intriguing, haunting, and kept me guessing right till the end. I loved it. A sure-fire hit!
There Came A-Tapping is Andrea Carter at her best: a vulnerable protagonist who makes agonising choices, a rural community full of secrets, a satisfyingly baffling mystery and a plot that races along to a perfect conclusion
An engaging read with a seemingly vulnerable but in the end surprisingly resilient character at its heart. Thoroughly enjoyable
