The NIV Clear Print Bible rotates the classic Bible page by 90 degrees, retaining the same page numbering as our normal Bibles but with 50% bigger text.

Bound sideways, the pages lie flat and read from top to bottom.

Clear, readable 14pt layout meets the RNIB Clear Print standard and with a single page to view rather than the four column spread in a traditional Bible, it is easier to read and annotate, whether at home or in church.

With over 400 million Bibles in print, the New International Version is the world’s most popular modern English Bible. It is renowned for its combination of reliability and readability. Fully revised and updated for the first time in 25 years, the NIV is ideal for personal reading, public teaching and group study.

This Bible also features:
shortcuts to key stories, events and people of the Bible
reading plan
timeline
book by book overview
quick links to find inspiration and help from the Bible in different life situations.

British Text
This edition uses British spelling, punctuation and grammar to allow the Bible to be read more naturally.

More about the translation
This revised and updated edition of the NIV includes three main types of change, taking into account changes in the way we use language day to day; advances in biblical scholarship and understanding; and the need to ensure that gender accurate language is used, to faithfully reflect whether men and women are referred to in each instance. The translators have carefully assessed a huge body of scholarship, as well as inviting peer submissions, in order to review every word of the existing NIV to ensure it remains as clear and relevant today as when it was first published.br /

Reviews

This newly updated edition of the NIV retains its commitment to accuracy even while remaining accessible to the widest audience possible.
Philip Yancey
Overall, the NIV Clear Print Bible provides a good option for those looking for a large print bible that doesn't need to be highly portable. It would definitely be a good bible to use for public readings, particularly from a lecturn. It will take a little bit of getting used to due to the 90 degree rotation in the format. Considering the largeness of the font size, it still manages to not be too weighty a tome, and the font is certainly large print. I give it 7/10.
